Applications
Q: Does my application expire?
A: Yes, your application is only valid for 3 months. If you have not completed your application in this time, you will have to re-apply and pay again.
Q: How long do I have to wait for feedback on my application?
A: Up to 7 working days, after you have completed all the steps in the application process.
Q: How does the application process work?
A: Apply online on our website. Upload the required certified documents and make payment. Make sure to complete the steps after payment. Wait for an email with the outcome of your application.
Q: Can I apply if I'm currently in Grade 12?
A: Yes, you can apply after you have written your Prelim exams in September/October of that year.
Q: I have not done Computer Literacy. Can I still apply?
A: Yes, Computer Literacy is not a minimum requirement yet but it is preferred that you have basic computer skills in order to be academically prepared for the nursing programmes.
Q: I have 38% for English or Math / Math Lit or Life Science. Can I still apply?
A: No, the minimum requirement is 40% in all 3 subjects. ONLY an Auxiliary or Enrolled Nursing qualification will override it.
Q: I have another Degree or Diploma, will I qualify to study Nursing?
A: If you have an Auxiliary or Enrolled Nursing qualification, you can definitely apply for a Diploma in Nursing. For other qualifications, you will need to apply and add these into your application and they will be evaluated.
Q: What does certified copies of documents mean?
A: It is a copy of the original document that has been stamped by your local Police Office, that it is a true copy of the original. Certification is only valid for 3 months.
Q: What documents do I need?
A: Certified copies, no older than 3 months, of your Matric certificate, ID and Proof of Residence in your name and any other relevant qualifications on and NQF 4 level.
Q: What are the minimum requirements?
A: A passed Matric with a minimum of 40% in English, Math or Math Lit and Life Science.
Q: How do I apply?
A: Visit www.kreducationsa.com - Navigate to the home page > courses > nursing and then select the institution you would like to apply for.

Q: What happens after I receive an email with the outcome of my application?
A: If you have met the Pre-Qualification requirements, will you be requested to pay the Assessment fee to write the assessment.
Q: I have received a request to re-submit documents. Why?
A: If the documents are not certified, are unclear or are not the correct documents we require, you will be requested to re-submit new documents.
Q: I have received a request to re-submit my Matric certificate. Why?
A: If you have applied with a Statement of Results or Department of Education letter, we will require of you to upload your National Senior Certificate, as this is the Umalusi requirement to have the certificate verified.
Q: Is there a difference between a Statement of Results and a National Senior Certificate?
A: Yes. If you wrote Matric last year you will receive a Statement of Results, which is valid for 6 months. Thereafter you need to collect your Official National Senior Certificate from your school or the Department of Education.
Q: Why am I being asked for my National Senior Certificate, if I completed Matric last year?
A: The Official National Senior Certificates are only suppled in June of the following year, and you need to collect you official blue National Senior Certificate at your school.
Q: I have applied some time ago and have not heard anything back. When will I receive feedback?
A: If you have uploaded proof of payment and completed all the required steps in the application process, it takes about 7 working days to process your application.
Q: When will I get my Assessment results?
A: The results may take anything from 4 - 6 weeks to be released, depending on the time you write the assessment, and when your results are checked and confirmed by the Institutions Outcome Committee.
Q: How do I write the online Assessment?
A: Follow all the steps provided in the email, including adding the safe exam browser extension to your internet browser.
Q: How do I access the Assessment?
A: The link to the Assessment is sent via email. If you have not yet received the link, it might mean you still need to choose a programme and make payment of the Assessment fee or your application is in its final check before the link is sent.
Finance
Q: What is the difference between the Application fee and Assessment fee?
A: The Application fee is for the application, and the assessment fee is required to write the assessment to see if you qualify to study nursing.
Q: Why do I have to make an Assessment fee payment?
A: If you have met the minimum Pre-Qualification requirements, you will receive a link to select your preferred programme from the options provided, as well as a campus and be required to make payment of the Assessment fee to continue.
Q: How do I pay the application fee?
A: During the online application, you will be directed to the payment screen. You can pay using PayFast, EFT or Card payment. You will be required to upload Proof of Payment, if you do not use PayFast.
Q: Do I have to pay to apply?
A: Yes, there is a non-refundable application fee, that is payable before completing your application.
Q: Do I have to pay for my own studies?
A: Yes, the institutions are private and do not offer to pay for student's studies, and do not accept NSFAS applications.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: The Application fee and Assessment fee are non-refundable. If you have made a double payment by mistake, a refund option may be available.
Q: How can I pay my invoice?
A: Payments can be made via EFT, Debit Order, or Card.
Technical
Q: I can't log into my profile - please help.
A: There could be a number of reasons. If you have not completed an application you cannot login yet. You started an application on the old system and need a new link to update to the new system. Or you might be using the incorrect password. Follow the "Forgot Password" option to reset it.
Q: How do I update my profile information?
A: Go to Account Settings after logging in and update your information. Please note - some information cannot be edited.
Q: How do I reset my password?
A: Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and follow the instructions.
