PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Higher certificate in Auxiliary Nursing (R169)

National Senior Certificate with exemption to Higher Certificate studies i.e. the certificate must state that the applicant has endorsement to continue into a Certificate or higher.

Including the following subjects:

• English Home Language or First Additional Language – minimum 45% / D symbol
• Mathematical literacy– minimum 45% / D symbol OR Mathematics – minimum 45% / E symbol
• Life Sciences – minimum 45% / D symbol
• Computer Literacy in Grade 11 (NQF Level 3)

Diploma in General Nursing (R171)

National Senior Certificate with exemption to Diploma Studies i.e. the certificate must state that the applicant has endorsement to continue into a Diploma or higher.

Including the following subjects:

• English Home Language or First Additional Language – minimum 45% / D symbol
• Mathematical literacy– minimum 45% / D symbol OR Mathematics – minimum 40% / E symbol
• Life Sciences – minimum 45% / D symbol
• Computer Literacy in Grade 11 (NQF Level 3)
